Weekly Products

I've decided that I'm going to update my shop weekly. I figured that it would be best so I could try to balance my busy work schedule. This week, I made something Steampunk (one of my favorite styles and book genres). It's a pin. You can find it HERE on Etsy.

The pin was fun to make and is fairly simple. You just need gears, a metal flower, clock hands, pins, and great glue. I use Bead Fix from Beadalon. It's a fast drying glue that works great on non-porous surfaces. Careful with it though. When I was being careless, I almost glued myself to the pin.

I also have another Steampunk accessory that I made for myself. I'll be making more soon but this one I grew too attached to and decided that I wanted it. It will be posted in my personal blog Monday, February 20, 2012 (tomorrow). There is also a Steampunk bracelet I have in mind but I think I need to find more objects for it.

Anyway, here is this week's product.

Something New

I've been trying new things in my crafts lately. The seahorse above is one of the things I finally decided to try and I have to say, I'm happy with the results...even if I did mess up a few times. This guy is in my Etsy shop right now.

Since this was a success, I've decided to try other new things to put in my Etsy shop. I have so many ideas in my head but I know I won't get to all of them this weekend. There are a few I'm just going to focus on: knitting, button making, hair pins, and repairing my coat. The latter is a personal project that is long over due. I guess the button making is part of my personal project too.

I'm rather excited to get started on them.
