Bangle Bracelets

I'm trying my hand at bangle bracelets. These will be sold in my shop by December 10, 2011. I have various kinds of bangles I'm trying out. The one shown above is a one size fits all sort of thing. Because of the way it spirals and the fact that it's made out of wire, it will be able to wrap around your wrist and fit to your size. I know well that it fits my wrist. It's easily adjustable.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday

Black Friday has come and gone but Cyber Monday is almost here. Unfortunately, I spent most of my money on Black Friday shopping. I had a huge craft haul where I discovered that the Hobby Lobby has cheaper clay than any other craft store we've been too. This will teach me to look for prices rather than just stick with my usual stores. Now, in total, I have 44 blocks of clay that want to be used.  I also went to town on the bugle beads. I plan on making more ornaments and I'm going to try to make wind chimes for my step-mother.

Time to do a little craft planning.

Snowflake Ornaments

I've decided to practice making ornaments so I could decorate my sitting area. I only have 3 made so far but they took more time than I expected. It was all about figuring out what I wanted. I wanted something simple. My first attempt at making a beaded snowflake failed miserably. Maybe I should look at beading tutorials before I try to start beading. My second attempt was with materials I knew a bit about: Eye pins, headpins, polymer clay, glass and crystal beads, and glue. Here are the results.

Less Than 24 Hours to Go

My store will be opening soon. It will be open by 10:30am EST on November 21, 2011 (tomorrow). I'm rushing around making new things to put up in my shop and experimenting with ornament making. Pictures will be up on my DeviantArt account soon.

Misfit/Practice Charms

These aren't really what I'm going to be selling. This is how I'm starting out. I started making charms from clay last week so these are a bit rough but they get better as I continue to practice. These are my Misfit Charms. Meaning, they have some sort of fault to them.

Some of the charms I made were original ideas. They will say which ones. The ones that need credit will be credited as best as I can. I can't remember where I found all of the videos on YouTube. Please don't be offended if I forgot who you were.

Clay Creations And a New Opening Day.

I've decided to open my Etsy Shop soon rather than later. Instead of waiting until December 1st, I'm going to open it Monday, November 21, 2011. It will be open for Black Friday and hopefully by then, I'll be able to create my own coupons and discounts for my items.

For now, I'm perfecting my items. I have a variety of different selections. I have bracelets, necklaces, charms, and pendants. I use polymer clay for the charms and Sculpey glazes. More on that later.

As far as clay goes, I am a beginner. There is no reason for me to lie and say that I've been doing it for years because I haven't. It's the reason why I'm waiting to open my shop.
